Primary Inclusion Rowing 05.12.2019

What a great morning of Indoor Rowing at Coombe Dean.

4 PSSP schools brought along their teams to take part in some Rowing challenges and fun games. We had a fantastic team of Young Leaders from Coombe Dean with us today: they received some training with Josh before the event and then they were ready to dive in and get the children on the machines.

Children from Laira Green, Pomphlett, Goosewell and St. George’s all came along to have a go at various challenges and activities on the rowing machines, complete personal and team competitions and generally enjoy the different activities laid on for them by the Young Leaders.

Throughout the morning each child had a go at completing some distance challenges and were then encouraged to try to beat their own scores as well as that of their team mates and other schools. For some children today this was a completely new experience but the leaders did an amazing job of putting everyone at their ease and convincing them to have a go.

Well done to everyone for getting involved and trying new challenges—you all did brilliantly!

I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the Young Leaders who helped out this morning—you were brilliant with the children and really made sure that they all enjoyed themselves.

Thank you all for bringing/sending your teams along —I hope that they all enjoyed it as much as I did.
