Tor Bridge Family Yr 5&6 Football 28.11.19

A freezing cold afternoon today for our annual Tor Bridge Family Y5/6 Football competition. The weather didn’t put us off though as 7 teams from PSSP Schools came along to take part in our round-robin event.

Children from Bickleigh Down, Widewell, Leigham, St. Joseph’s and Thornbury came along to compete and have some fun playing against other schools.

There were some excellent games today and some really close matches, so many draws! In this event we award 5 points for a win, 3 points for a draw and 1 point for a loss. The teams were so evenly matched that we needed to look back over the number of goals scored throughout the tournament in order to establish the final results.

Congratulations to Leigham Primary who were our overall winners today and to Bickleigh ‘B’ who were a very close 2nd.

Well done to everyone who took part today – you all played incredibly well and I hope that you enjoyed it.

I would like to say a huge thank you to the staff who brought their teams along and for braving the cold with me, and to our amazing Tor Bridge High Leaders – Cory, Bella, Jamie-Leigh, Oliver and Adam who did a fantastic job refereeing. I look forward to seeing you all at our next family event very soon
