Primary Inclusion Rowing 08.11.2019

A great morning of Indoor Rowing today at Cann Bridge. 6 schools brought their teams along to take part in some indoor rowing challenges and fun games. We had a fantastic team of young leaders from Tor Bridge High with us today; after their training with Josh first thing this morning, they were then ready to jump in and get all of the children on the machines.

Teams from Cann Bridge, Eggbuckland Vale, Salisbury Road, Widewell, Montpelier and Yealmpstone Farm all came along to have a go at various challenges and activities on the rowing machines and complete both personal and team competitions and generally enjoy the different activities laid on for them by the Young Leaders.

Throughout the morning each child had a go at completing some distance challenges and were then encouraged to try to beat their own scores as well as that of their team mates and other schools.

We celebrated the School Games Value of Self Belief this morning as for some children this was a completely new experience and we talked about how important it is to have a go at new things and to believe that you can do it.

Well done to everyone for getting involved and trying new challenges—you all did brilliantly!

I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the young leaders who helped out this morning—you were brilliant with the children and really made sure that they all enjoyed themselves.

Thank you all for bringing/sending your teams along —I hope that they all enjoyed it as much as I did. Check out the Inclusion page on the PSSP website for details of more upcoming events.
