Hele's and Plympton Academy Indoor Athletics

The second indoor athletics heats were held at Hele's School on 7th November; we had 5 schools attend; Woodford, Plympton St.Maurice, Yealmpstone Farm, Old Priory and Boringdon.

The girls were up first on the track competing in the 1+1 and the 6 lap parlauf, whilst the boys started on the standing triple jump and the standing long jump. There were some really impressive scores across all the events.

Next up the boys took to the track to try and gain some valuable points for their teams whilst the girls took to the field to do the stand triple jump and the standing long jump.

After some very close events it all came down to the obstacle relay, to gain some last minute points for their teams and it was a very competitve but very quick race.

At the end of the competition it was Woodford who came out with the gold medal scoring a massive 164 points, with Old Priory coming in second place with a very good score of 128 points, followed closely by Boringdon with 108 points, in 4th place was Yealmpstone Farm with 78 points and next was Plympton St. Maurice with 64 points

A huge well done to everyone that took part and a massive thank you to teachers and parents for your continued support.

A special thanks to Hele's school for providing some great Leaders as well as the facility to run the event.
