Silver & Bronze Young Ambassador Conference

On Wednesday 9th October 2019 42 students from 10 partnership secondary schools and 230 students from 48 partnership primary schools attended the annual Silver & Bronze Young Ambassador Conference 2019.

The Young Ambassador, Leadership Academy & School Games programmes are part of a national initiative designed to promote the Olympics/Paralympic values, physical education, the School Games, school competition and school sport.

SILVER AMBASSADOR CONFERENCE

The conference was aimed at current members of Leadership Academies who have shown the attitude, skills and confidence necessary to take on the role of a Silver Young Ambassador. 

THE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES OF A SILVER YOUNG AMBASSADOR:

  • Be an ambassador and role model advocating PE and School Sport
  • Increasing participation in PE, School Sport and competition
  • Promote the positive values of sport
  • Deliver an Inclusion/Paralympic event
  • Organise and run a school Leadership Academy

 BRONZE AMBASSADOR CONFERENCE

The conference was aimed at year 5/6 primary students who had the dedication, attributes and skills necessary to become school leadership academy (School Games Organising Crew) students

Students who attend the conference were expected to be;

  • An ambassador and role model advocating PE and School Sport
  • Promote the positive values of sport (Olympic/Paralympic Values & School Games Values)
  • Deliver a Level 1 Intra House School Games Competition
  • Set up & run a Change 4 life club to a targeted group of students
  • Help deliver break & lunch time activity
  • Chair, organise & run your schools Leadership Academy (School Organising Games Crew)
