F/KS1 Staff Dance CPD 2019

A fantastic start to our Primary PE CPD programme this year. Groups of F/KS1 teachers from various schools came along to Plympton Academy to work with the very talented Steph Thomas (Dance specialist for Plympton Academy). We have been fortunate enough to have Steph deliver for the second year running in order to help primary colleagues to extend their knowledge and develop their skills/resources to deliver dance.

Steph introduced us to a number of warm up activities that can be extended to make some creative movement lessons. We also looked at interpreting art as a stimulus and how to develop motifs through changing levels/dynamics and proximity. 

Everyone who attended today really threw themselves in to the activities and came away with a bank of ideas to try when back at school – thank you for pushing outside of your comfort zones.
