Primary Inclusion Boccia 05.06.2019

Wednesday 05th June 2019 – Another great afternoon of Boccia today at Tor Bridge High, hosted by our leadership academy. 9 teams from PSSP schools – Bickleigh Down, Cann Bridge, Drake, Plympton St. Maurice, Salisbury Road and St. Budeaux Foundation, all came along to take part in our friendly competition. No experience is necessary for this event as Molly, Cory and Mia (Silver Ambassadors for our Leadership Academy) were on hand to explain all of the rules and show the children how to play. After the explanations we just play as many games as possible against as many teams as possible. It is always so great to see the children meet each other and enjoy playing against other schools. These events are not only about meeting new people and enjoying playing a new sport, we also celebrate the School Games values of team work and self belief. It was fantastic to see some of our regular attendees want to be more involved in the leadership today – a huge well done to the young ladies from Drake and Salisbury Road who took the initiative to lead their own games. I would like to say another huge thank you to our amazing sports leaders and to all of the staff who brought their teams along – I hope you all enjoyed the event as much as I did.
