Change 4 Life Festival 2019

On the 25th March, schools from across Plymouth were invited to the Change 4 Life Festival. 15 Primary Schools attended the event with pupils from years 3,4,5 and 6 which was held at Marjon University. Activities included Dance, Mission to Mars, MOTIV 8, Viking Quest, Plymouth Pirates, Outdoor Adventure, Crazy Frizbee Golf and Fruit Ninja.

Over 150 pupils attended the day which was hosted by PSSP and Marjon University Students. The day started with a presentation that highlighted the amount of activity children should do a day as well as what they should be eating and the benefits of doing this.

We had two guest speakers on the day who represented Marjon University in sport. They were Marjon athletes who have achieved great sporting success to a very high standard in football and netball. At the end of the day there was a question and answer session with the athletes where some really interesting questions were asked by the children.

Throughout the day, the importance of healthy and balanced lifestyles were promoted to the young people and judging by the smiles and red faces they certainly enjoyed themselves. All children walked away with prizes including bags, badges, stickers, wristbands and water bottles.
