PSSP Dance Festival

Today we had the first PSSP Dance Festival take place at Sir John Hunt. 11 schools with over 120 students came together to perform their well rehearsed routines. We had 22 dances in total and a huge range of different styles and songs.

Each schools perfomed a maximum of 3 dances in either a group, solo, trio or quad. We had dances which ranged from The greatest showman to Disney to Irish dancing! It was lovely to see so many students smiling and enjoying performing the dances they have worked so hard on.

Each school then got a framed medal to present to the rest of the school and an individual certificate. The event was designed as something different to do and target the students who would not necessarily enjoy other sports or events. It is great that more students can represent their schools.

We had some lovely feedback and it was great to kick start the first Dance Festival off with and amazing set of routines!

Videos of the performances have been sent to your schools as the files are too large to go on our website.

Well done everyone, you did amazing!
