Coombe Dean KS1 Gymnastic Festival 05.03.19

This was a fantastic morning of gymnastic activity!  KS1 pupils got the chance to try the trampette, floor routine, low beam, bar, high beam, wall bars, springboard and rolling activity.  Pupils were encouraged to try new skills and overcome fears especially on the beam and wedge.  The children participated with plenty of enthusiasm and most agreed that the bar was their favourite!

Coombe Dean students were great role models to the pupils from Marine Academy, Oreston, Montpelier, Elburton, Wembury, Pomphlett, St Peters Cof E, Yealmpstone Farm and Dunstone.  Coombe Dean Aspire Gym coaches Aimee and Abi judged the floor and springboard routines by choosing one performer from each school to compete in the final competition of the morning.

Well done to the following:

Floor competition: 1st, Amelie - Dunstone, 2nd George - Pomphlett, 3rd Archie - Wembury

Springboard Competition - 1st Abigail - Yealmpstone Farm, Molly - Montpelier, Tarin - Oreston.
