Level 3 U11s Indoor Athletics

On Friday 1st March the Level 3 Under 11s indoor athletics event to place at Plymouth Life Centre. There were 13 teams across the whole of Devon who qualified for this event, in which 4 teams were from Plymouth. The Plymouth schools were Salisbury Road, Bickleigh Down, Woodford and Montpelier. It was a brilliant day of competitive athletics, as these were the top teams in Devon.

The day started with the Girls on the track running in the over and under relay. Whilst the boys were on the field events trying to score highly to help their team to victory. After a change over the boys took to the track and once again we saw some very close finishes! Whilst the girls went to the field events.

As the event went of the standard raised significantly and the noise levels increase as each race was really close.

The last race was the obstacle race, once this had finished the results were in. the Plymouth Schools down really well with Woodford finishing in 7th place, Montpelier in 6th, Bickleigh Down picking up a medal in 3rd place and Salisbury Road also picking up a medal in 2nd place. The final results table has been attached below.
