PSSP Staff Sport - 4th April 2019

Following the survey we sent out before Christmas, the results showed that one off events were the most popular request and the most popular activities were Netball and Football. 

We are delighted to let you know that our first ever PSSP Staff Sport event will take place on Thursday 4th April 2019 at Plymstock School, Church Road, PL9 9AZ from 16:00 – 18:00. 

Schools can enter teams for 7-a-Side Football and/or Netball.

In the Summer term, we are planning to run a Rounders event.  Next academic year, we plan to add Badminton to the programme.

It is important that all people involved understand that the purpose of these activities is to be a social, fun activity and the focus is not competition.  We will not be keeping scores of matches or presenting prizes.

Teams for both sports can be mixed or single-sex, and we would welcome people who are inexperienced or who have not played for a while.  If you do not have enough players for a whole team, please let us know and we can create a team so that you can still be involved!

There is an entry fee of £35 per team per sport.  Payment will be taken at the event by cash or cheque (cheques should be made payable to Plymouth School Sports Partnership).

In order for the PSSP Staff Sport programme to be successful, we will need people to be involved as officials and will offer a reduction of £5 per team if you are able to bring someone who can umpire or referee.  Participants should wear appropriate clothing and footwear and bring a drink.
