Primary Inclusive Boccia 12.02.2019

A great afternoon of Boccia today at Tor Bridge High. Today we hosted 14 teams from 9 schools across the PSSP!

Teams representing Widewell, Thornbury, Cann Bridge, Oreston, Pomphlett, Leigham, Drake, Lipson Vale and Tor Bridge Primary all came along to take part in our friendly competition.

No experience is necessary for these events as we had Young Leaders from TBH on hand to show the teams how to play and keep the scores. Then we just play a friendly round-robin event and fit in as many games as possible in the time we have.

These events are also about more than just playing some Boccia – we celebrate the School Games Value of Respect by congratulating other teams and each other and respecting our referees.

Thank you to all of the Young Leaders for all of your help and a huge thank you as well to the staff that jumped in to lead a game here and there – particularly those of you who had a quick course in how to score in Boccia.

I would also like to say a huge well done and thank you to the 2 very knowledgeable children from Drake Primary School who took the initiative to lead some games themselves – you did such a great job!

I thought that it was another great event this afternoon and I am already looking forward to the next one – I hope to see you all there.
