U13 Indoor Athletics 2019

The 4th February saw the annual U13 Indoor athletics competition held at Marjons University. 9 teams from different schools competed in a multitude of events on the track and field. Field events included soft javelin, vertical jump, standing long jump, triple jump, shot putt and speed bounce. Track events were split into boy’s and girl’s categories and included individual races and relay races.

The first phase of events saw the boys take to the field events and the girls compete in the 4x1 relay. Once this was completed the boys and girls would swap, this happened three times so everyone competed in three field events and as many as four track events.

The races were very close and in some races there were a second between the top 4, in the field there were also some very impressive results.

A big well done to everyone who competed and a special well done to the top 4 teams who qualify for the level 3 U13 indoor athletics on the 28thFebruary they were:
