Lipson Family Football Festival 2019

This evening saw 5 primary schools arrive at Lipson to particapte in the annual football festival. This year saw Years 5/6 play a tournament against each other and the Years 3/4 taking part in a skills session where students scored individual points based upon their performance. After this they all took part in a tournament. Throughout the evening all the students were working hard and continued to demonstrate high quality skill and team work, which was great to witness.

The results from the Years 5/6 tournament were generally close throughout and at the end we had a 3rd v 3rd, 2nd v 2nd and 1st v 1st playoff with teams coming from both groups. Overall in 3rd place was High View A who beat High View B. In 2nd place was Salisbury Road B who beat Prince Rock and the overall 5/6 champions were Salisbury Road A who beat Laira Green in what turned out to be a great final.

The results from the Years 3/4 tournament were a collection of students from all the schools that took part. This was due to the individuals gaining points for completing the drills that had been planned. From the tournament itself, High View were the overall winners based upon goals being scored.

Overall another fantastic event which was planned by the Lipson Year 11 CSLA students. They gave up alot of time to run this event, which turned out to be really successful. Also thank you to all the staff and parents that attended. There was a great turnout which meant alot of support being shown to the players and an overall fun environment to be within.
