Indoor Athletics Tor bridge Heat

Our 4th heat of the Indoor Athletics competition was held at Tor Bridge High. We had 5 schools compete; Bickleigh Down, Tor Bridge, Widewell, St Matthews and Leigham.

Each young athlete had to compete in 3 track events and 2 field events from the following list below:

• 2+2 relay
• 1+1 relay
• 6 lap Parlauf
• 4x1 relay
• Obstacle relay

For the field events:

• Triple Jump
• Long Jump
• Chest Push
• Speed Bounce

The races were extremely close! Some fantastic changeovers, perfect turns and very close finishes!

On the field events we also saw some very talented young athletes, earning points for their teams overall score.

A massive well done to all the teams that entered and congratulations to Bickleigh Down who will advance to the Level 2 event on February 4th.

Also, a huge thank you to the sports leaders from Tor Bridge High and Marjons students for providing a lot of support to the athletes throughout the event.
