Primary Inclusion Boccia 12.10.2018

Friday 12th October 2018 – Our first Inclusion Boccia event for this academic year and a celebration of the School Games Value of ‘Respect’. 10 teams from all over the city came along to Plympton Academy to take part in our friendly Boccia event aimed at children of all abilities and experience. Beechwood, Eggbuckland Vale, Hyde Park, Marine Academy, Mary Dean’s, Old Priory, Plympton St. Maurice, Prince Rock, St. Peters C of E and Yealmpstone Farm all brought along teams to take part in our very relaxed, friendly competition where we play against as many different teams as possible in the time we have. These are always some of my favourite events as it is great to see so many children from different schools enjoying playing but more importantly sharing a mutual respect for each other.

Some of the children who took part today had never played before but we had some young leaders from Plympton Academy who were on hand to guide them through and lead the games. I would like to thank all of the leaders for their help and all of the staff that sent/brought their teams along today – I hope that you all enjoyed watching as much as I did and hope that your teams are keen to come back again.
