Cross Country Warm Up 2

On the 3rd October, during a fairly warm afternoon, our cross country warm up 2 event took place at Eggbuckland Community College.

11 schools took part with a massive 55 teams competing. Preparing for our level 2 event in a few weeks’ time.

The year 3/4 girls were first to race, followed by the year 3/4 boys. Then the year 5/6 girls. Then last to race were the year 5/6 boys. All the athletes put in a lot of effort to finish in the lowest position they could. All the positions in that school team would then get added together to give each team category an overall score.

The year 3/4 girl’s winner was Bethany from Marine Academy Primary School. Charlie from Pomphlett Primary School was the winner of the year 3/4 boys race. The year 5/6 girls’ winner was Issy from Manadon Vale. Oliver from Goosewell ‘A’ was the winner of the year 5/6 boys race.

Bickleigh Down were the school winners for both the year 3/4 girls and year 5/6 girl’s races. Goosewell ‘A’ were the school winners for both the year 3/4 boys and year 5/6 boys races.

A huge well done to all the runners who took part and a massive thank you to all the leaders from Eggbuckland Community College.
