Secondary Inclusive Football 26.09.2018

What a great start to this years’ programme of PSSP Secondary Inclusive Football at Goals.

We had 6 teams with us on a beautifully sunny morning to take part in our friendly, round-robin style event. Students from St. Boniface, Marine Academy and Plympton Academy all came along to compete for points to take the top spot but also to celebrate some outstanding sportsmanship qualities such as Respect, Determination and Team Work. Everyone who takes part today receives a certificate but there is also a very special medal up for grabs by one individual on every team: this person is selected by their teachers for demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship qualities – this is such an unenviable task as all of the players taking part today really took on board these qualities and represented their schools/teams admirably.

There was a great standard of Football being played today and some outstanding saves from the Goal Keepers! Congratulations to St. Boniface ‘B’ team who were our overall winners today. Well done to all of the teams who played today, I really hope that you all enjoyed it.

Once again, we were lucky enough to have some young leaders from Stoke Damerell Community College with us to referee the games – you did an amazing job as always, so thank you from all of us.

Our next event is coming up on Wednesday 14th November 2018 – sign up via the PSSP website. I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
