Mental Health & Young Children: Melissa Coyle

Melissa Coyle was our Keynote Speaker at the Primary PE Conference held at the Plymouth Marjon University in September.

Melissa is the Programme Leader at Plymouth Marjon University for the undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Sport & Exercise Psychology.  Melissa is also a Health & Care Professions Council Registered Sport & Exercise Psychologist.

The keynote focused on mental health and how this affects young people.  It looked at what mental health is, how to recognise children who may be struggling with mental health issues and how school sport and physical activity can help young people with mental health problems.

The keynote can now be found in the Resources section of our website.
