Primary Inclusive Boccia 18.10.2017

Our first Inclusion Boccia event for this academic year and a celebration of Respect.

12 teams from all over the city came along to Tor Bridge High this afternoon to take part in our friendly Boccia event aimed at children of all abilities and experience. Cann Bridge, Montpelier, Oreston, Riverside, Chaddlewood, Cathedral and Eggbuckland Vale all brought along teams to take part in our very relaxed, friendly competition where we play against as many different people as possible in the time.

These are always some of my favourite events as it is great to see so many children from different schools enjoying playing but more importantly sharing a mutual respect for each other; it is great to see teams shaking hands and congratulating one another.

Some of the students who took part today had never played before but we some new young leaders from Tor Bridge High who were on hand to guide them through and lead the games. Some of the children here today are quite experienced themselves so went one step further and got involved in some leadership – well done Montpelier, I think our older students quite liked being able to play while you were in charge! I would like to thank all of the staff that sent/brought their teams along today – I hope that you all enjoyed watching as much as I did and hope that your teams are keen to come back again.
