Indoor Athletics- MAP

Our Final Indoor Athletics event was held at Marine Academy with 5 teams participating; Marine Academy team A, Team B, St Budeaux, Victoria Road and Riverside.

As always, the girls were up first on the track racing it out in the team relays and setting some very fast times to set the standard for the rest of the day. Meanwhile, the boys were on the field events producing some phenomenal scores for the girls to compete against.

Then it was time to swap over with the boys on the track and the girls in the field events, competing to their best to gain valuable points for their teams. Each team were so competitive with their team mates supporting them throughout. It certainly wasn’t a quiet event!

Despite a slight change to the field events, it didn’t stop each team producing some amazing results setting it up for a very close obstacle race finale.

The last track event, the obstacle race is probably the most difficult but the most fun! The noise from spectators cheering on their teams was incredible.

The results were in:

1st- Victoria Road- 148

2nd- St Budeaux- 142

3rd- Riverside- 128

4th- MAP ‘A’- 74

5th- MAP ‘B’- 54

Congratulations to our winners Victoria Road!  A huge thank you to all members of staff, students form Marjons and Leaders from MAP for making each event run so fantastically.
