Bikeability Summer Holiday Courses

Bikeability Holiday Courses - Summer 2015

Bikeability, the 'Cycling proficiency' for the 21st Century’ gives young people the skills and confidence to cycle in modern road conditions. There are three Bikeability levels:

Balanceability: For children 2.5–6yrs old – learn to ride and progress from using a specialist ‘balance’ bike onto a pedal bike

Learn 2 Ride : Age dependant on area –learning to ride a pedal bike (in Plymouth aimed at children in Yr 3 + )

Level 1: For children in Year 3 or over – Basic bike control skills in a traffic-free area.

Level 2: For children in Year 5 or over – A real cycling experience on quiet roads

Level 3: For children in Year 7 or over, who have completed Level 2 – Advanced cycling.

All instruction is undertaken by National Standard Qualified Instructors who have undertaken Disclosure and Barring Service checks and are first aid trained.
