Special and Primary Schools Boccia

Wednesday 3rd June 2015

Our last Primary and Special Schools Boccia for this academic year.

It was fantastic to welcome back 4 teams from Longcause, a team from Plympton St. Maurice and a team from Dunstone. We had a real mixture of experience today with some children having played quite a lot of Boccia before and for some it was their first time.

As always it was a fantastic afternoon – all of the players were very respectful, friendly and played brilliantly against each other. I would like to thank all of the staff that brought their teams along today and for getting involved with leading some of the games – I really appreciate all your support with all of these events and I know that the children do too.

I would also like to say a huge thank you to Longcause who have very generously allowed us to use their sports hall for our Boccia throughout this year and to their staff, who help me with benches and chairs. I am hoping to run another series of these events next year as they have been so popular and I would like to see even more children taking part in and enjoying playing Boccia. I hope to get the dates set as soon as possible so watch this space and I hope you will bring your teams along again.
