Tor Bridge Family Yr 3/4 Football Festival

Tuesday 07th October—

Thank you to all of those who braved the showers on the afternoon to bring along your teams to the Tor Bridge Family Y3/4 Football competition.

It was fantastic to see so many young people playing and the standard was fantastic—a few players to watch out for in the future!

3 points were allocated for any win, 2 for a draw and 1 for a loss—the top spot was fiercely contested and in the end we had to award joing first place and there was only one point difference for second place.

A huge thank you goes to the young leaders from Tor Bridge High School who led warm ups, organised some coaching drills, helped with team tactics and refereed and scored each game. Their politeness, manner with the children and enthusiasm were commented on several times by both staff and parents. Thank you to James Loveridge for organising them for me—they really do help to make sure these festivals run smoothly.

Congratulations to all who took part—I hope that you enjoyed the competition and look forward to seeing you all at more in the future. Our next family event is the Y5/6 Cross Country on Tuesday 21st October 2014—please see the Plymouth School Sports Partnership website for more details.
