Jinga is an education, training & events company based in Cornwall specialising in the Afro-Brazilian slave dances of Capoeira, Maculelê & Samba
Children learn about another culture and language through song and rhythm as well as getting active through group dance choreography and non-contact, communicative martial arts.Jinga delivers workshops and courses to primary and secondary schools in Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset.
Leah Bartram, head of learning at Holy Cross Primary School, Plymouth, said: "A fantastic and enriching experience to learn about Brazilian culture with Craig who has a passion for teaching through dance, music and language."Craig delivered two full days of Jinga workshops with eight classes at the school in January 2013. The provision included an assembly presentation, featuring a multi-lingual, musical and acrobatic demonstration of Capoeira and Maculele
