Tor Bridge Indoor Athletics 2012

Tor Bridge took indoor athletics to the max with all four of the family teams competing for the very first time. Right from the off every race was closer than close and at times the young officials could have done with the latest photo finish technology.

As the four teams continued through the array of events which included long jump, triple jump and the obstacle relay the lead changed hands on a number of occasions until eventually two teams pulled ahead.

With Widewell boys racking up a massive 62 points and Leigham girls almost equal with 60 it was always going to be close, however Widewell took gold in the end with a grand total of 114 points after winning both the boys and girls relays.

Leigham of course took second with 102 closely followed by Tor Bridge (76) and Thornbury (70).

Well done to all who took part and a big thank you to the team managers, mat leaders and officials from Tor Bridge High and UCP Marjon.
