Girls Whistlers Young Referee Award

The award is being provided by the Plymouth School Sports Partnership FREE of charge to all attendees on the agreement that the students will help to lead and officiate at one of the School Games Level 2 primary football festivals taking place on:

 

The PSSP FA Young Officiating Award is aimed at talented and gifted 12+ leaders who continually show high quality leadership skills and who are ready to take their first step into coaching, officiating or administration of football.

Award Content:

  1. You’ve Got Skills – Key skills & qualities required to be an effective official
  2. Safety First – The art of refereeing & keeping players’ safe
  3. Cool Communicator – Developing verbal & nonverbal communication skills
  4. Under Pressure & Acting Confident – Assertiveness under pressure
  5. Playing Fair – Installing a culture of play fair amongst players
  6. The Laws – Understanding, interpretation & applying the laws of the game

 

 

 

 

 

 

The day is being coordinated by the Plymouth School Sports Partnership and the award will be delivered by a fully qualified and DBS checked PSSP tutor. Whilst at the facility students will be covered by the venues risk assessments, health and safety policies and public liability insurance.
