KS2 - Lipson Inclusion Kurling event

Close Sorry, we are no longer taking bookings for this event

Event description

This event has been organised by Sarah Law ([email protected])

This event has been organised to focus upon those children within KS2, that dont often take part in team sports or extra curricular. It will allow those children to experience a new sport within a less competitive atmosphere.

The event will start with individual teams being taught how to play. They will then be allowed to have a few games as a team so that they can get a feel of how to use the equipment, then a more competitive element will be introduced to allow the schools to compete against each other in a ladder format (winners moving up and losers moving down). The positions of the schools on the ladder at the start of the games will have been done at random.

Due to Covid and it being an indoor event, teams will be reduced to just 4, one per school. There are only 8 stones within the kurling set, four being blue and 4 being red, so this size will be good for when the games are played at the end of the practice sesson.

As it is an event taking place during school hours, no spectators are allowed to attend.

Photos of the event will be taken for Lipson social media pages, so please make sure that staff are aware of those who cannot have their photos taken.

All schools attending need to follow the PSSP event Risk assessment and also their individual school Risk assessment which they should have access too.

Any questions, please email me.
