England FA Women's Talent Pathway Workshop

Close

Event description

Devon has a rich history of developing players for the England Womens Talent Pathway from its schools and club programmes. The FA have chosen Plymouth and the surrounding areas as a hotspot area to help identify un-discovered talent in the female game and we need you, to help us spot potential in players from your school.
We are looking for players to be referred into the England Women’s Talent Pathway from ANY playing environment, including Regional Talent Clubs, Advanced Coaching Centres, Grassroots Clubs, Schools and Community environments.

To support this, we will be offering a workshop on Friday 3rd December from 4-5pm.  This will be online, and we are currently confirming which platform it will be on.

The workshop will be led by Sarah Lawler-Edwards (FA Regional Talent Coach) who is responsible for supplying the England Womens Talent Pathway with players from the youth development phase.  The session will last around 45-60 minutes inclusive of questions and cover key considerations around Talent ID, the key characteristics The FA are seeing in future Lionesses and share with you how to refer a player with potential to Sarah so they can be considered for the England Womens Talent Pathway.
Schools and more importantly YOU, will play an important role in identification of these players so it is important to know what the FA are looking for and how to refer players.  This is planned prior to the Girls CV Fixtures to take place in the Spring Term so that any players you may refer can be watched by Sarah and her team during the fixtures.
This is such an exciting opportunity for girls in Plymouth, please book on to the course using this link:
