Intent – why?
Festival – MegaFest (skills and coached games non-competitive)
• Develop physical skills and tactics
• Building confidence to engage in physical activity
• Learn to play with others (children learn about themselves and their surroundings.
Intent – who?
Festival Yr 5/6
• Hidden child
• Low confidence
• Disengaged pupils
There will still be scheduled fixtures however it is not compulsory that you play everyone. The idea of this event is a fun atmosphere for pupils to get to know netball and how to play it or maybe even put what they have touched on slightly before into a game format. We will encourage teachers to coach from the sidelines as they referee but scores will not be kept. We will not closely monitor the rotations so you can bring more that 8 pupils to play and swap in/out during a match. Longer games will happen to allow more game time and chance to get used to the sport.
