Develop physical skills and tactics

Providing links with community sports organisations so pupils can extend their knowledge and understanding of skills/tactics/health

Developing friendship and self confidence

FORMAT

  • Squads of 12 are split into two teams of 6. One team identified as A; one team identified as Z.
  • Each fixture consists of 4 games
  • Each fixture looks as follows
    • Quarter 1 – Red A vs Blue A
    • Quarter 2 – Red Z vs Blue Z
    • Quarter 3 – Red Z vs Blue A
    • Quarter 4 – Red A vs Blue Z
  • The winner of each game, will win the quarter 1-0; therefore the maximum win/loss is 4-0. For a draw, both teams will receive a score (e.g. 1-1)

 

Rules/scoring

 

  • Usual small sided football rules.
  • Each goal in normal play is worth 1 goal.
  • During each quarter, for a set period of time, there will be a powerplay, during the powerplay, each goal is worth 2 goals. This will be signified with either a whistle or music
