PSSP Cyclo-Cross Event

Close Sorry, we are no longer taking bookings for this event

Event description

Following the recent school and parent consultation that we carried out regarding the return of PSSP Level 2 Events, we have received the feedback that some schools would like to start attending Level 2 Events, where they can be run in a COVID-19 secure environment.

To ensure these events are COVID secure, we have split events so only one year group are attending each event; this means that schools can attend in their year group “bubbles”.

The competitions will be timed with one school taking part on the course at a time, so that pupils from different schools will not be mixing.

Schools will be given their own taped off area to ensure that your pupils will not come into contact with anyone from other schools.

There will be access to the OPM Rugby Clubhouse to use the toilet and handwashing facilities; access to this will be scheduled per school to reduce the risk of crossing.  Toilets, handwashing facilities and touch points within the building will be sanitised at regular intervals throughout the event.

Each event is scheduled to take place between 11.30am-2.30pm.  Depending on the number of schools that wish to attend, you will be given a time slot for your school.  You are welcome to stay and watch the other schools compete, but if you wish to leave after your competition time, you are free to do so.

We will send timings etc. 10 days before the event so that you can organise letters etc.

Unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate parents or spectators at any of these events; this is in line with our risk assessment and the event management plan that have been approved by Plymouth City Council.

Our attached “PSSP COVID-19 Events Risk Assessment” will run alongside the activity specific risk assessment.  We will send both risk assessments to you when we confirm event timings. The activity specific risk assessment is currently under the 'resources' tab on the website under 'latest resources'
