The Racket Pack Primary Badminton Festival - Badminton England
As a National Governing Body (NGB) of Sport we realise the importance of sport and physical activity within education as well as the value in creating cohesion between our community badminton provision and their local schools. In partnership with Everyone Active we would like to offer your school the opportunity to attend a FREE Racket Pack badminton festival at Plymouth Life Centre on Monday 13 January 2020.
* Your FREE festival will be held in the sports hall at Plymouth Life Centre from 1:15pm-2:45pm
* We will be able to accommodate 10 schools, with up to 8 children per school from either Yr5 and/or Yr6
* Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis
* The festival will take the form of a multi station approach where children will rotate around a number of badminton related activities, these form part of our Racket Pack primary programme
* The festival is offered in partnership with Badminton England, Everyone Active, Plymouth Life Centre Badminton Club, District Sports Plymouth and Plymouth School Sports Partnership, providing a great opportunity to create additional school club and community links
* The festival will be run by local junior coach, Alan Berry with volunteers from City College Plymouth and local clubs
* We hope the festival will act as a taster to our Racket Pack programme and offer your school the opportunity to find out more about how you can deliver badminton within the curriculum or after school
* All children who take part will be offered a FREE trial voucher to encourage them to attend the weekly youth badminton sessions at Plymouth Life Centre
