This event is designed for schools to send their most enthusiastic indoor rowers and students who may never have rowed before, but wish to have a go.
Teams are made up of 4 boys and 4 girls.
All participants will race once individually and then all 8 participants once as a team.
Individual races are 2 minutes.
Team races are 4 minutes long with each participant racing for 30 seconds.
There is no limit on the number of teams that primary schools can bring, however, should the event be oversubscribed, those schools with more than one team may be asked to withdraw a second or subsequent team.
As directed by the Headteacher of Plymstock School, to comply with their safeguarding policy, the only adults allowed on site will be primary school staff wearing their own primary school staff ID badge. This will be checked by PSSP Staff upon arrival. There will be no exceptions to this so please ensure parents are aware they will not be allowed to attend this event.
Event registration will open at 12:30pm, with the first race scheduled to start promptly at 13:00. The event is due to finish at 16:00.
There is no parking available on the school site. If schools arrive before 12:30, you will need to use the bus stop near the school (Church Road, PL9 9AZ) to disembark and walk up to the school.
Before 12:30, no vehicles will be allowed to turn into the entrance to the school, so please make sure your drivers are aware of this.
If schools arrive after 12:30, you should be able to turn into the entrance to the school and disembark there. PSSP Staff will be there to assist and you will be escorted to the Sports Hall. If you need to park for the day, the closest public car park is at Plymstock Broadway, a short walk from the school.
