Event description

This event is being run by Plymouth Albion RFC.

As some of you may well know that the Rugby World Cup Kicks off on Friday 20th September in Japan, with England’s first game kicking off on Sunday 22nd V’s Tonga (11:45am).

Here at Plymouth Albion we want to celebrate this by hosting primary schools (year 5/6) tag rugby festival. Most importantly this will be free for schools to enter. This will run in conjunction with the first game on Friday 20th September. 09:30 registration for a 10:00 start, finishing up at 14:30 with a small break to watch some of the game.

As there are 20 Countries entered into the world cup we have emulated this, we have made space for 20 schools to enter. Entries will be on a first come first served basis.

Each school will be allocated with a team which have qualified for the world cup and We would like each school to design and make a shirt/kit which represents that country, this can be made from painted plain white T-Shirts that correlates to something related to the country. But there prizes for the best dressed.

Teams will consist of 12 players (4 Girls, 2 on the pitch at any time) and will adhere to the normal tag rugby rules. If for some reason we do not have 20 schools entered we will open it up to schools to enter 2 teams.

All school that enter will get tickets to Plymouth Albion 1st XV fixture of their choice.
