The NGB leadership award day is aimed at talented and gifted leaders who continually show high quality leadership skills and who are ready to take their first step into coaching, officiating or administration of individual sports.
The 2018 awards are being offered free of charge to all students, with all costs covered by the Plymouth School Sports Partnership. Please be aware that students who register for an award but do not attend will incur a charge of £25.00 which will be claimed from their school for their non-attendance. Please be aware that there are a limited number of places for each award and student places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
The NGB Award Day will take place on Friday 20thOctober 2017, which is a designated school inset day (PLT Day). Students do not need to be accompanied by a member of staff & will need to make their own way to and from the venue and will attend the day at their own risk.
The award day is being coordinated by the Plymouth School Sports Partnership and all awards will be delivered by fully qualified and CRB checked tutors from the relevant NGB’s. Whilst at the facility students will be covered by the venues risk assessments, health and safety policies and public liability insurance. All the NGB awards are of a practical nature, so students will need to arrive at the venue clothed and equipped for physical activity. The rugby award will take place outside on grass fields, so students will need to bring appropriate footwear, warm and waterproof clothing. All participants will also need to supply their own food, drinks and snacks for the day.
