PSSP Secondary Mountain Biking Event (PSSP Secondary Events)
Event Overview
We are excited to invite schools to take part in the 2026 Mountain Biking event at Newnham Park. The day will feature individual races for students in Years 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, along with an overall team event.
Below is an outline of the event format and key information to help you prepare.

0930 - 1245 Primary School event (years 5 and 6)

1330 - 1630 Secondary School event (years 7, 8 and 9)
Mini downhill racing

Team Relays and Team overall competition
- Mixed (2 boys and 2 girls)
Girls (4 girls)
Boys (4 boys)
Schools may enter a maximum of 2 teams each

Event Format
Each individual participant will race at least once individually and once as part of the team relay.
Equipment
We will be using PSSP mountain bikes (please do not bring student’s own bikes). Helmets will be provided (and must be worn), however if students wish to bring their own helmet they should bring them to registration to be checked before wearing them for the event.
Refreshments
Please bring lunch, drinks, and snacks with you for the day. There is not a cafe on site.
Toilets
Portaloos will be provided in the event arena.
Changing Facilities
No access to changing facilities will be available.
Emergency Evacuation Assembly Point
In the event of an onsite emergency, the assembly point is in the minibus parking area as you enter the main field.
Litter
Please collect your team’s litter and take it home.
