England Cricket Leaders Award which is part of the cricket chance to shine programme and aimed at increasing the interest and participation of students in cricket activity. Students do not need to have any knowledge or previous  experience of playing cricket, but just a willingness to take part and enthusiasm for developing their leadership skills:

The award will be delivered by an experienced ECB level 2 qualified coach with a full DBS check and the award is being funded by the PSSP and is offered to students FREE of charge.

By the end of the award students will be able to deliver appropriate, purposeful, enjoyable and safe cricket sessions.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

• Empower girls to design, create and deliver cricket activities to their peers and to engage and inspire girls to take up the cricket.
• Support girls to become leaders, to understand what leadership is and to articulate and apply the leadership skills they have developed.
• Provide the training and resources to support attendees in their cricket leadership roles.
