We are delighted to launch our PSSP Events and School Games Offer 2025-2026 which are now open for bookings.

The Plymouth School Sports Partnership (PSSP) has been evolving and adapting our events over the last few years so that we try to cater for all young people. The PSSP aims to remove the causes of negative experiences in sport for young people and to ensure that sport in our area is inclusive, accessible and fun. We will continue to do this by providing some new alternative competition formats with the overarching aim of increasing young people’s participation in sport and physical activity. We wish to promote enjoyment regardless of youngsters’ level of ability and avoid negative/bad experience of competitive school sport.  This year we continue to add to our Key Stage 1 offer by adding a Key Stage 1 Cheerleading Festival in addition to the other KS1 events we have developed over the past few years.

Our extensive offer includes: 

Primary Aged Pupils 

• 29 PSSP Primary Events

• 18 Primary Inclusion Events

• 14 Primary- Age School Games Events (including 2 School Games Inclusion Events)

• Cluster events that will be organised in your area by your PE Specialist Teacher as guided by your PE Co-ordinators.

The PSSP are committed to ensuring that all schools in Plymouth have access to School Games events.  These events will be targeted to specific groups of children and formats have been adapted to ensure that children have a positive experience of events/competitions.  Non–subscribing schools will be able to attend the School Games events (light purple and dark red on the attached document) for a £50 fee which will go towards the cost of the venue and equipment.  Non-subscribing schools can book their place  by emailing a.clooke@sjhcsc.co.uk with a list of events that you would like to enter.  We will invoice your school for your attendance fee after the event. 

The PSSP are providing an additional offer to all PSSP subscribing schools to ensure that young people still have access to a wide range of competitive opportunities.
