Thursday 5th March 2026 - Having won the first round of the Plymstock and Plympton basketball heats, Montepelier ad Chaddlewood primary schools came head to head at Coombe Dean school to play in the final.  We were lucky enough to welcome Shannon Douglas to referee the game, ably assisted by 4 Coombe dean leaders, Harry M, Jack G, Reuben and Rufus L.

After tip off, both teams were hungry to score baskets, with Montpelier going ahead in the first quarter. Chaddlewood were unlucky in the second but finally found the basket in the third to score.  Some superb offensive and defensive play by Montpelier saw them win convincingly at the final whistle.

Well done to all who took part – the standard of play was high and the atmosphere electric!  Thanks also to all the Mums, Dads, Claire and Tamsin from the PSSP who came along to support and cheer the teams on!
