Tuesday 29th saw our partnerships first ever year 3/4 striking and fielding festival. With six schools from the partnership all bringing strong teams it was a tight competition with the lead changing throughout.
Each team of mixed gender lead by a leader from Stoke Damerel community college were taken through a warm up and then went onto a fielding game scoring as many points as they could in the five minute time allotted. Teams were then split into three court areas to compete against each other in a rounder’s style game.
Each teams scores were added up to give them a team total ready for the medal assembly at the end and with scores so close it's was tense moments for all involved.
The final scores were as follows:
1st - Ford Primary 170 points
2nd - Oakwood 160 points
3rd - St Budeaux Foundation - 146 points
4th - Victoria Road Primary - 145 points
5th - St George's - 139 points
6th - Stoke Damerel Primary - 130 points
A big thank you to who attended and for the support of the staff and leaders from Stoke Damerel Community College.
