On a lovely sunny afternoon on Thursday 17th May, 5 Primary schools from Stoke Damerel's academic council took part in a Year 5/6 Tennis Doubles Tournament. The standard of play from the children was far better than that of previous years. The competition was hotly contested, where children had 10 mintues to score as many points as possible.
The final results were:
Girls A - Stuart Road Girls B - Stuart Road
Boys A - St Georges Boys B - College Road
Leaders from year 10 and 12 assisted with the running and the umpiring of the tournament, giving the children some great advice of how to improve their skills.
