72 teams, fantastic weather, an outstanding team of referees and a team of highly trained scoring officials. The day had all the perfect ingredients that did not disappoint. The morning consisted of back to back action, 12 pitches,15 games meaning that even before the lunch time break 180 games had been played.
The afternoon saw the groups split into Plate, Shield and Cup according to their finishing positions and the knock out games commenced. Massive congratulations should go to Compton, Widey Court and Widewell who will represent the Sir John Hunt Partnership in the county finals.

The highest contribution to the charity “Child Victims of Crime” was raised by South Tawton Primary with a total amount of £228.25 who received the trophy and a prize of a “Tag in a Bag” kit. Worthy of mention is Prince Rock Primary who came second in the “highest contribution” competition with a donation of £193.00.
I would like to thank everyone involved in the day, the challenge must now be to maintain this rugby enthusiasm as the students move into secondary school.
