Devon Schools Sailing Association Opened its doors to teachers from across Plymouth on Saturday to give them a taste of life on the ocean waves. The association is a charity supported by volunteers whose aim is to support and encourage schools to teaching sailing. Rather than run all the sessions themselves they support school staff to get qualified by running the Royal Yachting Association qualifications for sailing and power boating at a subsidised rate. The next Level 1 and 2 course is the 8th and 9th May and an application form can be downloaded below.
Providing you are willing to take your students sailing your school might also be willing to support you with the costs of the weekend courses?!
