Today saw the first ever Sir John Hunt School Sports Partnership year 3 and 4 net and wall festival take place supported by leaders from Sir John Hunt Community Sports College.
The event which was run at the Devonshire in Plymouth saw six teams from various partnership schools take part in a series of games which included seated volleyball, tennis relays and target practice compete against each other for the overall title.
With the seated volleyball, which took up the main part of the festival, being very competitive and with all teams having wins under their belts it came down to the target practice to decide the winners.
Each team player had one serve aiming at four spaced out hoops each with a different scoring value ranging from one to ten.
Scores were added up and the final results were as follows:
1st – Ernesettle – 46 points
2nd – Morice Town – 37 points
3rd – St Georges ‘A’ – 36 points
4th – Beechwood – 28 ½ points
5th – St Georges ‘B’ – 17 points
6th – Marlborough – 12 ½ points
Well done to all the teams and young athletes who took part and a big thank you to all the leaders from Sir John Hunt.
See you all at the striking and fielding festivals which take place June 28th and 29th 2010.
