Young Netball Umpire Award Staff Orientation Workshop
On Wednesday 10th February 2010 a @Young Netball Umpire Award’ staff orientation workshop was help for Plymouth teachers & coaches.
The workshop was hosted by Notre Dame RC School and was attended by staff from Notre Dame, Stoke Damerel, City College Plymouth and coaches from local Plymouth netball clubs.
The workshop provided the participants with the knowledge and understanding to be able to deliver the Netball England award to students in their schools or clubs. The afternoon sessions looked at the structure of the course and the basic rules and regulations for umpiring high five and senior netball. The after school session then gave staff a practical experience of umpiring competitive netball fixtures.
It is hoped that all the staff and coaches who attended will now run at least one Young Netball Umpires Award, in their schools or clubs, this academic year.
