On Wednesday 10th February, Morice Town, Marlborough, Keyham Barton and St Georges attended a family multi skills festival for year 2 which was held at Stoke Damerel. Despite the low number of entries the festival was a great success. The children were split into groups of 4 and spent 6 minutes at each of the 8 stations which included; dribble relay, bat and ball balance, target throw and varied running. Each group were taken around the stations with their leaders from the Stoke leadership academy and some aspiring leaders from year 9. The children were full of enthusiasm and thoroughly enjoyed the evening, with many of them showing early talent in specific skills. Every child received a certificate and a medal was awarded by the leaders for the child who showed great enthusiasm, helped others or good behaviour in their group.

February 7th saw the second festival this half term. Teams from Plymstock, All Saints, Brook Green and – a welcome addition- Ivybridge took part in a sunny but icy cold afternoon.
