ARMADA NETWORK SPORTSHALL COMPETITION
As winners of the Plymouth School's Sporsthall Finals, Montpelier Primary were invited to compete at the Armada Network Sportshall Competition on Sunday 13th December 2009.
Montpelier competed alongside 6 other Athletics Clubs from across the City, including Erme Valley Harriers, Plymstock Road Runners and City of Plymouth Athletics Club. Fourteen children from the School took part in events such as Vertical Jump, Soft Javelin, Speed Bounce, Chest Push, Standing Long Jump, various track events and the Obstacle Relay. All of the children thoroughly enjoyed the day and many of them achieved "personal bests" in their respective events. Their enthusiasm and achievements secured them first place in the Under 11 Category and third place overall in the Competition - a fantastic result and one which will stand them in good stead for the South West Regional Schools Finals to be held in Paignton on 25th March 2010.
