Plymouth and West Devon Cross Country 2009

This year saw  a fantastic 101 schools equating to 1212 pupils involved in the 6 cross-country races at Staddiscombe playing fields. 

The competition is split into 3 levels (minor, intermediate and major) according to KS2 numbers on role and the competition is further divided into boys and girls races.

The conditions were wet and slippery underfoot but the rain held off and the year 6 athletes battled around the 1200m course some even enjoying the mud bath treatment.

Congratulations should go to the following category winners;

  • Minor Boys - Wembury
  • Intermediate Boys -Mary Deans
  • Major Boys- Hyde Park
  • Minor Girls- Holberton
  • Intermediate girls- St Andrews Buckland
  • Marjor Girls- Hyde Park
